THE GIRLS OUT FISHED ‘EM!!!
3/10/26
What a pleasure and a great blessing it was to fish with another three generation family yesterday. Jessie brought his daughters Ashley and Emily down from Minnesota to fish with the girl's Grandpa Andy, who spends the winter here. It was obvious that the girls spend a lot of time fishing up north as they started putting fish in the boat right away. Ashley started out with a fat 22 and a half inch Seatrout, which was her first. Not to be out done Emily then proceeded to catch her first Redfish, then her first keeper size Redfish, and then followed that up with a beautiful almost 21 inch Seatrout that was safely released to fight another day! Although Andy and Jesse were cheering on the girls most of the day, they still managed to put some nice fish in the boat also. They are skilled fisherman as well, as they spend a lot of time up north fishing for Smallmouth Bass and Walleye, including doing tournaments together. It's no wonder the girls were such good fisherman as they had some great training! While we tried a few different baits, including cut bait and artificial, the preferred bait of the day was once again a big bag of live shrimp from Captains Cove
I am just so grateful to have been able to help create some new fishing memories with this wonderful family and to show them how blessed we are out here in God's Country! Thank you guys and have a safe trip back to Minnesota!!!
