“BIG FISH SHARON”
3/21/26
I had the pleasure of spending the day out in God's Country with a wonderful couple from Dunnellon yesterday. Tom has fished with me before, but this was Sharon's first time on my boat. After yesterday, she is now affectionately known as "Big Fish" after hauling in a massive 32-in plus Redfish and later on ending the day with an 30 inch plus Black Drum! Man do I love hearing all that drag pulling going on!!! Tom got in on the action as well with a nice slot Redfish and plenty of Seatrout. The bite was slow on the outgoing tide in the morning but as soon as the tide switched and started coming in the bite turned on. Overall they caught a lot of fish, and took home some nice Redfish, Black Drum, Seatrout, and Spanish Mackerel for dinner. We threw a combination of live shrimp, mud minnows, pinfish, and artificials at them today, but once again the beautiful live shrimp from my friends at Captains Cove caught all the fish except one trout on artificial. I feel so blessed to be able to spend time with Tom again, and this time Sharon as well, on a beautiful day out in the our incredible Yankeetown Fishery. Looking forward to many more trips with them!
