“FISH MAGNET”

Now this is the way to spend a spring break! The good Lord blessed me with a great father and son team out of Tennessee and what a great day it turned out to be! It was truly a pleasure to have Jason and his son Carter out in the Gulf with me yesterday. Turns out that 9-year-old Carter is apparently a fish magnet! From the first cast on this kid was putting fish in the boat of every type. He caught big Black Drum, Seatrout, Spanish Mackerel, Flounder, Snook, Mangrove Snapper, Whiting, and of course Lady Fish and a couple of catfish as well! He did everything himself including casting, hooking up, and getting the fish to the boat. At the end he was even baiting his own hook after he had me show him how to do it. He had so much drag pulling going on that he had to take a few breaks during the day, but as soon as his line hit the water again something was on the hook! I guarantee you Carter slept like a rock that night! Jason had a pretty good day too but definitely got out fished by his son. I sent them the Blackwater Grill Yankeetown to finish up the day with a fresh "catch and cook" meal of Black Drum and Flounder. Travis is a fantastic waiter there and the food is always first class!!! Excellent way to end the day. They also took home a few big bags of fillets as well! Just another beautiful day fishing out in God’s Country!!!
